Indications/Uses
Prevention of Rh immunization in pregnancy & other obstet conditions in Rh-negative women or in any Rh-negative person after incompatible transfusion of Rh-positive blood.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Individualized dosage. Administer by IM every 12 wk starting from 1st inj to maintain a level of passively acquired anti-D.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Rh-positive individuals.
Special Precautions
Do not inj IV & the newborn infants. Severe systemic allergic reactions to human Ig. Monitor signs & symptoms of hemolytic reaction. IgA deficient individuals.
Adverse Reactions
Inj site reactions including swelling, induration, redness & mild pain or warmth. Skin rash, body aches or slight temp elevation.
Drug Interactions
May impair efficacy of live vaccines eg, measles, mumps & varicella.
